10 PSI JET DRIVE WATER BYPASS

The DREWFAB 10 PSI water bypass helps keep your engine from over pressurizing, a dangerous situation that can case major engine damage. Many boat engines are re-purposed automotive engines, those engines typically need coolant pressures of less than 25 psi. In a Jet Boat application it is not necessary to have any excessive pressure in the cooling system, most notably because of having an open cooling system. This system will help keep engine coolant pressure near 10 PSI max. Depending on actual cooling line size actual pressure may vary slightly, which is why we chose 10 psi as the bypass pressure, leaving plenty of head room for variation without engine damage.

The kit is designed to either be attached directly to the jet drive water port, or used in line in your cooling line feed to the engine. The kit consists of a -10AN ball valve, a -10ORB -8ORB Y block, a -8 10PSI poppet valve, and a -8AN fitting. The kit optionally comes with either a -10AN Female/Female union, a -10 Female AN to 3/8NPT adapter, and a -8 AN bypass hose. The kit is designed to use a -10AN from the jet drive, and -8AN line to the engine. The bypass hose, which exits the boat, is also designed to be -8AN.
